Esa misma noche se le practic\u00f3 una intervenci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica de urgencia.<\/p>\n<p>Como parte del proceso de cuidados posquir\u00fargicos, el personal m\u00e9dico le administr\u00f3 analg\u00e9sicos narc\u00f3ticos a Lijewski y le coloc\u00f3 un cat\u00e9ter.<\/p>\n<p>Tras retirar el cat\u00e9ter el 5 de agosto, el personal no llev\u00f3 a cabo una evaluaci\u00f3n de riesgos posquir\u00fargica, lo cual es una pr\u00e1ctica habitual en el caso de pacientes que pueden verse afectados por los efectos de los analg\u00e9sicos.<\/p>\n<p>El 6 de agosto, Lijewski intent\u00f3 levantarse de la cama en plena noche y acab\u00f3 cay\u00e9ndose. Durante el incidente, sufri\u00f3 anemia debido a una p\u00e9rdida grave de sangre y una laceraci\u00f3n que afect\u00f3 a todo el espesor de la piel, adem\u00e1s de otras lesiones. <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Fight_for_Justice\"><\/span>La lucha por la justicia<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Tras el incidente, Lijewski y su esposo, Francis Lijewski, se reunieron con Ainsman Levine, LLC. Con la ayuda del Sr. Levine y el Sr. Keller, presentaron una demanda el 20 de mayo de 2024 ante el Tribunal de Primera Instancia del condado de Allegheny, Pensilvania.<\/p>\n<p>La pareja reclama una indemnizaci\u00f3n por gastos m\u00e9dicos, da\u00f1o moral, p\u00e9rdida de calidad de vida y dolor y sufrimiento f\u00edsico.
